OUYAY.com is a news site dedicated to bringing consumers the latest  and greatest news surrounding the revolutionary new open-source OUYA console has just launched.

Ouyay features articles, editorials, videos and various other media all surrounding this exciting new console release.

For those not in the know, the OUYA is a home video game console currently being developed by a fantastic group of developers and industry heavy hitters such as Yves Béhar (of Call of Duty fame) as the first open-source video game platform designed for the home television.

This ambitious OUYA project was launched via the popular crowd-funding website Kickstarter and has gained a massive amount of media attention due to it's meteoric rise as the fastest  project to raise $1M on Kickstarter (8H 22M) as well as the biggest single day total on Kickstarter ($2,589,687.77).

The OUYA and it's dev team are so set on their goal to revolutionize the gaming market and bring something fresh to the table that the "big three" have not done in awhile that they even made a catch slogan for it (seen below).

As per the official Kickstarter project for the OUYA, it's development team describes the console as follow:

OUYA is a new game console for the TV, powered by Android.

We've packed this little box full of power. Developers will have access to OUYA's open design so they can produce their games for the living room, taking advantage of everything the TV has to offer.

Best of all, OUYA's world-class controller, console, and interface come in one beautiful, inexpensive package. All the games on it will be free, at least to try.

OUYAY supports the development of this console not only due to it's great design, fantastic price point and choice of Android OS as it's platform, but mostly because the console is designed to be Open Source.

As many consumers are now aware, the open source and indie video game market has seen a remarkable renewal or Renaissance in recent years as games such as Minecraft, World of Goo and Terraria.

This renewed interest is owed in part to the accessibility that open source platforms provide developers, this very same accessibility is being hailed as one of the primary objectives of the OUYA console and it's development team.

The CEO Julie Uhrman recently made a comment to this effect on the official project page stating "Developers can wave farewell to the roadblocks of bringing a console game to market. Anyone can make a game: every OUYA console is a dev kit. No need to purchase a license or an expensive SDK. It's built on Android, so developers already know how it works."
