Follow on Google News | Estate agents put their best feet forward for Leicestershire cancer charityWITH a much-needed break in the wet weather, fundraisers from Leicestershire enjoyed some dry conditions for the annual Watermead Run.
By: Harrison Murray Estate Agents Once again, the event at Watermead Country Park was supported by estate agents Harrison Murray, who have a number of branches in the county. Organised by the The Rotary Club of the Wreake Valley, the event attracted 180 runners who took part in either a five-mile and three-mile charity run – in support of ‘Hope Against Cancer’, Leicestershire and Rutland’s own cancer research charity. Now a popular date in the Leicestershire runners’ calendar, it raised in the region of £1,200. Helping to boost the coffers were Harrison Murray’s own runners, Katie Moores, Sharon Clark and Adrian Wade. Chris Battye, one of the organisers and director of Harrison Murray’s survey department, said: “We are delighted that Katie, Sharon and Adrian from our Leicester office entered this year’s event which was another great success. We are also very pleased to have raised a great amount for the nominated charity.” Pic cap: Proudly displaying their medals, Harrison Murray’s Katie Moores, Sharon Clark and Adrian Wade from the Leicester branch.
