Essex Cares announce contract award from West Sussex

Essex Cares Limited is delighted to announce that it has been awarded the countywide reablement contract from West Sussex County Council.
 
July 13, 2012 - PRLog -- Essex Cares Limited is delighted to announce that it has been awarded the countywide reablement contract from West Sussex County Council. This will run from 1st October 2012 initially for three years with the option of a further two years based on performance.  

This contract recognises Essex Cares excellent track record in delivering high quality services. Essex Cares was recently presented at Essex County Council’s Celebrating Your Achievements Event the Customer Service award of the year.

The contract will deliver annual reablement services to approximately 2,000 individuals, being discharged from hospital, helping them regain independence in their own homes.  The existing West Sussex County Council workforce for this current Council service will transfer to Essex Cares ensuring a smooth continuation of day-to-day service delivery.

Sherry Malik, Chairman of Essex Cares states: “This is a great landmark for the company.  It shows that our experiences and of course our excellent track record of delivery has made us a natural partner for West Sussex County Council.  We are delighted to be working with them.”

Graham Tyler, West Sussex County Council’s Deputy Cabinet Member for Health and Adults’ Services said: “This will ensure that the County Council will not only be able to continue to provide what is already a good service, but it will also ensure that more people will be able to benefit from accessing the service.”  

Amanda Rogers, the County Council’s Adult Services Director, said: “This is good news for everybody across the county who could benefit from accessing the Regaining Independence Support Service.

“Essex Cares is inheriting a first class staff group and I have no doubt will take this service from strength-to-strength.”
