When that happens you can usually bet that you’ve developed a canker sore. Thing is, most people freak out and think they have herpes when a canker sore isn’t even caused by the herpes virus.”

Many survey participants when asked, thought that a canker sore was a direct result of being infected with HSV-1, the oral herpes virus.
