July 2, 2012 - PRLog -- July 2, 2012—Waldwick, NJ—Visitors will see displays covering nearly 3,500 square meters from more than 220 companies in the U.S. International Pavilion in Halls 2, 3 and 4 at the Farnborough International Airshow in Farnborough, England, beginning July 9, 2012.  

Many small companies are displaying as part of more than 20 state groups at the show this year, often as a result of the SBA’s STEP program, which assists small to medium-sized businesses in their exporting efforts.  

The pavilion will be made more manageable with a new (free) app, (which allows users to search, locate and set up meetings with exhibitors in advance) and onsite touchscreen “QuickFind Stations.”  The app can be downloaded at

Exhibiting companies include:

Airfloat: 2/B17 (Decatur, IL) As the pioneer of air bearing (or “air caster”) technology, Airfloat has been creating unique heavy-load movement solutions for almost 50 years.  Based in Central Illinois, Airfloat works with multiple industries to create material-handling solutions for loads requiring frictionless, omnidirectional movement. From standard air skids and platforms to custom-designed and -built “floating” assembly lines, Airfloat helps market leaders like Boeing, Caterpillar and G.E. revolutionize their manufacturing processes. Albany Engineered Composites (AEC): 3/A10 (Rochester, NH) designs and manufactures advanced composite components for aerospace, defense, and other high-performance applications.  At Farnborough, AEC will display the 3D-reinforced composite fan blade and fan case, both fabricated by AEC, for CFM’s LEAP™ engine. AEC has an exclusive relationship with Snecma to develop and manufacture these and other LEAP engine components. To support production of composite LEAP components, AEC is expanding its production facilities, including a 353,000 square-foot facility that is currently under construction in Rochester, New Hampshire (USA), where AEC and Snecma will be co-located.
