Starting only 8 months ago the Columbus born company is now in 6 cities and 5 states nationwide!! Art classes with cocktails are now being offered in Columbus, Cleveland, Chicago, Denver, Pittsburgh and Orlando with Phoenix, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Seattle and San Diego on the way! The solo-Columbus native started company began with a team of three and now is packing a crowd of 87 staff members, sold over 10,000 tickets their website has surpassed a half million visits. Colors & Bottles has been recognized in local, state and national news when Ellen DeGeneres even picked them as “awesome, unique and new classes” during her Groupon show special. Why did she pick them? Well, according to Colors & Bottles website, they were picked because “We’re absolutely, 100% the hip new way to take an art class! We plan three-hour painting classes with cocktails for all ages and skill levels. All supplies are provided and you’ll leave each event with a take-home beautiful masterpiece! Jessica Burley, founder of Colors & Bottles, is a 27 year old Ohio University alumni and newly-wed from Columbus, Ohio. “I love art. However, I never fit in with the artsy crowd but always admired and loved to "pretend" I could paint. Cough, I have ZERO art ability.” She said on why she started the company from scratch. “I Love to pretend I can paint and I truly believe art is therapeutic. I always wanted to take painting classes in college but was too intimidated. “Mission accomplished as she seemingly achieved her goal of building a company that offers social, relaxed, stress-free and welcoming art classes for all ages and skill levels.
