As Conference Co-Chairs, Messrs. Saligram and McSlarrow delivered the Keynote Speeches at the black-tie gala on June 5 to a crowd of 600 successful Asian American business owners and suppliers, procurement executives and officers from Fortune 1000 Corporations, Government Agencies, and National Non-Profit organizations. McSlarrow's powerful remarks focused on Comcast/NBCUniversal's understanding of and continued interest to work with USPAACC to access innovation and to help bring Asian Americans to the mainstream, where Comcast/NBCUniversal has become a leading player in providing video and residential Internet service and entertainment content in the United States. Equally significant was Saligram's influential and inspirational speech on the many achievements and contributions of Asian Americans through the years, as well as the foundation for a brighter outlook that has been created for the next generation. CelebrAsian 2012 opened its doors to over 70 Fortune Corporations, 15 Government Agencies, and 7 Media partners to meet with Asian American suppliers. Over 90 different types of commodities across industries needed to be purchased. In all, 600 Conference participants came in full force from all over the country. The Gala also presented awards and recognition to USPAACC's Fast 50 Asian American Businesses, whose collective revenue last year surpassed $4 billion with companies recording up to 400% growth.
