In his latest book Turmoil Within he brings in the dilemma of common man when they encounter situations compelling them to comprising on their ethics to rise up in the ladder, the in vain efforts of burying down the past and consequences when you encounter it face to face on one fine day. The author has made an incredible effort to highlight complications of simple life where in many of us  loose hope because of failures but some of us keep the flame burning in hope of some ray, at times we dream and pray for better life but the fear of unknown that surrounds us when it comes to accept it.
The story revolves around four characters Frank a journalist tired of the humiliation his boss makes him to undergo, Debby a  young woman trying deep hard to forget her past, Jack a ragpicker looking for a better life and Diane an underrated poetess.  The author has created an interesting link which makes these characters intervene in each other’s world.  The explanation of three most essential human emotions love, hate and forgiveness is incredible. He has given a very in depth meaning to the word love which is so often spoken and misunderstood because of its real meaning being not getting reflected, Forgiveness which seems to be an easy word to preach but difficult to practice and then comes the word Hate which is so dark in meaning but so easy to speak it out. The truth that there could be a strong feeling of love hidden behind the deep darkness of hatred is amazing to discover through this book. The collision of these three emotions with the intervention of the four central characters amongst each other is the prime essence of this work. Born in Mangalore and brought up in Dubai, Keerthan very neatly utilized his exposure of multi linguistic and multi cultural world to knit the characters of this book in one thread.
