June 11, 2012 - PRLog -- According to a news report in RollingStone, Elvis will be receiving his own hologram.  Digital Domain Media Group has teamed up with Core Media Group to create the new virtual Elvis.  The hologram can be used to recreate live concerts as well as film and television appearances.

For those who are unfamiliar with the holographic Tupac that performed at the 2012 Coachella Festival, the results were about as lifelike as you can get.  If the new Elvis hologram is as good as the Tupac version, fans will surely be in for a treat.

"The new hologram technology could revolutionize the music industry," said Chris Foerster from the rock band Almost Dawn - http://www.almostdawn.com. "From concerts to theme parks to guest members in a band, the number of possibilities is endless."

The recent news of the new Elvis Hologram is sure to give those Elvis impersonators a run for their money.  The King of Rock 'n Roll has been one of the most popular figures in music history.  Since his death in 1977, a number of self-proclaimed Elvis wannabes have tried to recreate the magic that Elvis brought to the stage.

With the new technology, Elvis impersonators had better bring their A game if they want to compete with a lifelike version of The King.

No announcements have been made yet as to when the first holographic Elvis appearance will be and where.
