June 7, 2012 - PRLog -- AllOptions, a leading provider of online quotes for over a decade is excited to announce the addition of Distribution Center quotes to its already large catalog of services.
For those of you who need a refresher on the subject, distribution centers go hand and hand with fulfillment services.  More specifically though, most see distribution centers as the foundation of a well built supply network.   Distribution centers utilize facilities like warehouses. These warehouses are filled up and supplied with specific goods, or all of the different products of a specific brand.   For example some distribution centers can be filled with all kinds of soda colas, Pepsi, Coke, RC, ext.  Then there are distribution centers filled with Coka-Cola products, Coka-Cola, Sprite, ect.  All of the inventory for that region is collected at this distribution center. As orders are filled the product is redistributed to stores, wholesalers or in some cases directly to consumers.
An AllOptions representative explains the benefits a distribution provider.  “They can lower the cost of communications because they have an established  database of the regions supply and demand environment. On top of that they can utilize the economies scope and scale thus lowering the cost of a number of different market transactions. Lastly they aid in measuring quality control and the conditions that customers like.”
There is two different types of distribution centers.  There is Direct distribution and indirect distribution.  Direct Distribution is when the producer or manufacturer connects there customers to there product or service directly.  Some of the tactics used to make this direct connection include direct mail, retail, catalogs, the internet and many more.  With indirect distribution the producer or manufacture basically has a middle man that sees the distribution though.  Indirect distribution often utilizes retailers and wholesales.  Some examples of such include stores like Wal-Mart, Costco, Amizon.com and more.
An AllOptions representative leaves us with this “In short Distribution is the process of marketing and supplying goods, from the producer to the retailers and or consumers. At All Options we connect you with distribution companies that specialize in providing such a service.”
