Livestream From Start-Up Conference Latitude59 In Tallinn

June 6, 2012 - PRLog -- Tallinn, Estonia, 6th June, 2012 – From Thursday to Friday, the largest start-up conference in the Baltic and Nordic regions Latitude59 will take place in Tallinn, Estonia. The livestream of the conference can be viewed at http://latitude59.ee/about/video.

The regions largest conference will focus on areas such as mobile and web services, but also alternative sectors – biotech and greentech. Additionally, over 20 local start-ups will be showcasing their solutions in demobooths, including the virtual dressing room Fits.me and award-winning taxi application TaxiPal.

The conference will culminate with a pitching competition, where the five finalists have a chance to present their three minute pitch to the jury. The winners will receive free workshops, marketing and legal aid from the partners of the conference and also free tickets to the Arctic15 conference in Helsinki, Finland.

„One of the main goals of the conference is to create a better connection between both companies and individuals in the Baltic and Nordic start-up scene,“ said Raid Pikkar, organizer of Latitude59 and  head of Tallinn Science Park Tehnopol. One of the speakers at the conference, Finnish IT-specialist Antti Vilpponen agrees: „Co-operation between technology companies in the Baltic and Nordic countries is essential to increasing visibility and atractiveness of the region globally."

Latitude59 conference is organized by Tehnopol, MobileMonday Estonia, Garage48 and Tallinn University of Technology, the head sponsor of the event is Enterprise Estonia.
