Hot Air Balloons will fly in Chattooga County

May 29, 2012 - PRLog -- Hot Air Balloon Festival coming June 22-24

Balloons will fill the sky for the 5th annual Northwest Georgia Hot Air Balloon Festival.  This proceeds from this event will benefit the Chattooga High School in Summerville, GA.  The festival will feature carnival type rides, laser tag arena, petting zoo, tethered hot air balloon rides, tons of craft vendors, and some great festival food!  Director Jeremy Kwaterski said that for only $5 for adults and $3 for kids admission is very reasonable and fun for the whole family.  He said fees for concessions and balloon and carnival rides may vary.  Entertainment is also scheduled all weekend, with bands from Nashville like Julie Gribble and Green Bracelet.

Gail Wilbanks the festival organizer the past 4 years passed away recently, and John Cavin the balloon Meister and Jeremy Kwaterski the festival director are pulling out all stops to make this the best festival yet in memory of Gail Wilbanks.  John Cavin is the pilot of the hot air balloon the Purple People Eater, and the balloon meister for this years event.  A balloon  coordinates the flights of all balloons from the festival.  John Cavin has rounded up over 8 professional pilots from around the country and their famous balloons for this years festival.  You don't want to miss it!!
