Matrix Design Group Acquires Design Studios West

May 29, 2012 - PRLog -- May 29, 2012−Colorado Springs, Colo.− Matrix Design Group, Inc. (Matrix), a Colorado-based engineering, consulting and planning firm, announces it has acquired the assets of Design Studios West, Inc. a Denver-based landscape architecture and planning firm. Design Studios West has merged into Matrix’s operations as part of its planning and design group. As part of the acquisition, Don Brandes, RLA, former president of Design Studios West, joins Matrix as vice president and director of landscape architecture and urban design. Brandes also brings his senior staff including Bob Eck, landscape architect and planner, Mark Nemger, LEED AP, AICP, planner, and Ian Anderson, LEED AP, landscape architect.  The Design Studios West staff will continue to serve new and existing clients under the Matrix Design Group, Inc. corporate structure, which was founded in 1999 to provide infrastructure, planning and consulting engineering services for a variety of noted public and private clients around the world.  Since 1999, Matrix has been headquartered in Colorado Springs and has expanded its planning and engineering practice to ten offices throughout the U.S. including additional Colorado offices in Denver and Pueblo.
