miiCard Shortlisted For Three Digital Technology Awards

May 29, 2012 - PRLog -- Online identity verification service miiCard has been nominated for three categories in the 2012 ScotlandIS Digital Technology awards – ‘Best New Product or Service’, ‘Best Newcomer’ and ‘Technology Innovation in Financial Services’ categories.

This news follows a period of sustained growth for miiCard as market demand for proving real identities online continues to build. miiCard recently secured £1.6 million from a mix of angel and venture capital investment groups. The funding will be used to accelerate the growth and adoption of miiCard’s “digital passport” amongst businesses and consumers, and support their expansion into the US.

The award ceremony will be held on Thursday 21 June 2012 at the Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow showcasing excellence within Scotland’s digital technology industries and rewarding the innovation, expertise and ambition of businesses, large and small. The shining stars of the Scottish technology industry will all be in attendance to celebrate the achievements of their peers in the industry.

miiCard (My Internet Identity) is an innovation in online identity verification and financial services that allows a consumer to prove, for the first time, their real identity to bank regulation standard (Anti-Money Laundering - AML and Know Your Customer- KYC), without the need for a physical ID check and will be used to support the full sale of financial products purely on the Internet.
