Kudos to the Kolkata Knight Riders

May 29, 2012 - PRLog -- The IPL season – 5 was won by the Kolkata Knight Riders against the Chennai Super Kings on May 27th, 2012. This is the first season among the five seasons that KKR is snatching the IPL trophy. Chennai Super Kings were the winners of the IPL season for the past 2 years, but this time, it was a good competition and the KKR took the lead. They had won CSK by 5 wickets. Shah Rukh Khan, the co-owner of the Kolkata Knight Riders was present at every match so as to encourage his team in every way possible. In spite of the negative comments on him & few controversies, he was able to put out a positive energy to his team and finally they have made it. SRK had also apologized for his misbehavior during a match in this season after they had won.

The final match of the IPL season – 5 between KKR & CSK was conducted on May 27th 2012, where in CSK won the toss and opted to do their batting first setting a target score of 191 for the Knight Riders. And, they were able to achieve their targets winning by 5 wickets. Shah Rukh, who was there for all the matches to encourage his team, was seen at the final match also. His wife Gauri, who was not seen at any of the matches, was seen at the final match beside her hubby. Some other Bollywood stars were also seen at the final match between KKR and CSK which includes Rithesh Deshmukh, Genelia D’Souza, Sanjay Kapoor, Juhi Chawla, Shajid Khan, Jai Mehta & some others.

Having opted to bat first, Chennai Super Kings made a brilliant start with a great run rate scoring high which had increased the expectations for a third win for the team at the IPL. They built their innings brilliantly with Vijay, Hussy, Raina and others scoring unbelievably great. On the other hand, KKR lost their first player Gautam Gambhir early but Bisla & Kalli made a good partnership scoring high after that. Then, Chennai was able to take many wickets of Kolkata where Chennai had a chance for win. But, Shakib and Tiwary were able to make it up when KKR needed 16 runs out of 6 balls to win the match. Therefore, Bisla turned out to be the brightest star for the final match of the IPL Season – 5. However, it was a gala time for Shah Rukh Khan and the entire team of players. They were utmost happy and were ready to party of course!
