Life After Liftoff, DAYTON, OH Pop-Punk Band, Team-Up with Defeat the Label to Stop Teen Bullying

Life After Liftoff New EP Release “Brand New Life” Out NOW!

May 21, 2012 - PRLog -- If you’re a teen today, chances are that you’ve either witnessed an act of bullying or been a victim yourself. Seventy one percent of students report incidents of bullying as a problem at school, and the growing use of social media and cell phones has created a viral form of cyberbullying that spreads beyond the classroom.
Pop-Punk band, Life After Liftoff consisting of, Lee Weiss (Singer, Guitar), Jason Sigritz (Bass, Backing Vocals), Ryan Chatterton (Lead Guitar, Backing Vocals, Keys), and Dan Malloy (Drums, Backing Vocals), know all too well what it was like growing up, being teased as the outcast kids, and they aim to assure other victims that they are not alone.
Life After Liftoff has paired with national organization, Defeat The Label, to stop bullying once and for all, and promote a society free of judgments and stereotypes.  In support of this cause, they premiered their latest music video “Brand New Life” to one million students on International STAND4CHANGE Against Bullying Day. This was an international call to action against bullying that took place in middle and high schools around the world.
In addition, Life After Liftoff release a new EP, titled “Brand New Life,” now available in online retail outlets and on their official website at www.lifeafterliftoff.com. The band’s energetic flow of positive songs are inscribed with messages declaring that 'no matter what life throws at you, this is your chance to start a 'Brand New Life.'"
In May 2011, Life After Liftoff released their first EP, “Memory of You,” garnering features in AMP Magazine, homepage of Reverbnation, Absolute Punk, Substream Music Magazine, The Sound Alarm, DJRossStar, NME, Fearless Radio, iDobi, Skope, and more. Their featured music video, ‘Memory of You’ was played in over 1,800 Journey’s Shoe Stores around the world in November of 2011. In addition, Life After Liftoff won their “Battle of The Bands” to perform at the 2011 Vans Warped Tour in Cincinnati, Ohio. They count some of the most established pop-rock bands as fans including: Tom Delonge of Blink-182 and Angels & Airwaves, Jordan Pundik and Chad Gilbert of New Found Glory, Paramore frontwoman Hayley Williams, and Jack Barakat and Alex Gaskarth of All Time Low. They’ve also won the heart of Nick Thompson, front man of Ohio based fellow pop/punk band Hit the Lights.
“Life After Liftoff started with the idea that if you look around the world and you are in a bad place, you have the power to change the world around you. Our hope is that people walk away from our shows inspired and feel there is hope to make changes for the better in the world.”
