May 14, 2012 - PRLog -- The Star Wars the Old Republic game has been a highly anticipated game with tremendous hype behind it, due to the enormous and diehard fan base. Currently, fans are able to buy the game for a price tag that ranges anywhere from $30 to $60, depending on where you buy it. After purchasing the game, it is necessary to also subscribe monthly for the reoccurring fee of $14.99. Price does not seem to be of much concern for those who have patiently waited for SWTOR’s launch. Now that the game is fully launched, what do the players think? According to many gamers, this is a game that is far from fully developed and has much improvement to make in the coming years. SWTOR Crafting Guide.

Gamers have found many aspects of this game that lives up to their expectations, even with the current flaws. Most agree that the questing for each class is very interactive. With cinematic cut scenes in every quest, this made the seemingly long leveling up process all the more enjoyable for those gamers that are looking for an intricate player versus environment game. Not only is it a pleasant experience, but it is downright addicting. Part of what makes this questing experience so addictive is the ability to drastically change the outcome of the story through the use of different responses that players can make, leading them down a path of “darkness” or a path of “light”. The game’s space combat system is very simple and fun. There are many ways gamers can customize their starship and there are a number of space missions to accomplish. The game has a plethora of character classes that can be widely diversified - but through the use of choosing one of two advanced classes for each character, and then choosing the talents in one of three talent paths for each class.

Many gamers complain about the current server faction balance issues with this first launch. Most players tend to start with a Sith character over a Republic character, which causes the player versus player war zone matches to be extremely one-sided on most servers. The users interface has also not yet evolved to be very player friendly since this game is still very new. Another inconvenient aspect of playing the game is dealing with the galactic trade network, which is a server-wide auction house for any sort of tradable items. This network still does not have a seamless way to post deals, making the process much longer and more tedious than necessary whenever that system is needed. SWTOR CyberTech Guide.

According to current players, this game has started out with some great graphics. However, due to the fact that SWTOR has not yet been optimized with the latest Direct X software, it requires a very upgraded computer to run on the highest graphics settings. Even on the lowest settings, you will need an exceptional computer to avoid running into frames per second lag.

A player looking primarily for a player versus player game will find SWTOR very satisfying. If you are a Star Wars fanatic, it will be worth the investment. If you want to experience an authentic Star Wars universe experience, then this game is for you.
