By: ITPAC Consulting Approximately 475 Nebraska healthcare providers participated in the Forum in an effort to build partnerships and share knowledge. The focus was on initiatives that have proven successful in improving care in nursing homes, homecare agencies, hospitals and physician offices. Best practices, lessons learned, potential partnerships and challenges were shared; with the overall goal of improving the quality of care for Nebraskans. In addition to ITPAC Consulting, over thirty Nebraska healthcare organizations presented quality improvement initiatives, methods and data and activities demonstrating their efforts to improve healthcare practices. Presentation topics included organizational culture change, clinical care, patient safety, health information technology, care coordination and patient-centered care processes. The 2012 Nebraska Healthcare Quality Forum was sponsored by CIMRO of Nebraska, Nebraska’s Medicare Quality Improvement Organization (QIO). CIMRO of Nebraska is an independent QIO under contract with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services to work with Nebraska providers to improve the quality of care for Nebraska Medicare beneficiaries. “CIMRO of Nebraska is pleased with the attendance and level of participation at the ninth annual Nebraska Healthcare Quality Forum.
