Omron offer a total of 13 different training courses to cover the Omron product range. As new Omron products are developed, Omron will be introducing new training courses.

Aware of the inconvenience placed on companies to have member of staff away from site, Omron training provides a range of courses at their customer’s sites. Omron also provide regional training facilities based in Milton Keynes to offer full support on all Omron products. Standard training courses are provided to ensure customer’s have an overview on products, while tailored courses are designed to meet the specific needs of customer’s and clients.

Basic PLC Training Course (2 Days)

The Omron OC1 (Basic PLC Training Course) is designed to introduce engineers and technicians to PLC’s. The main objective of this course is to provide a comprehensive introduction to the Omron range of PLC’s and CX-Programmer software.

Course Details:

   Explanation of PLC Terminology
   System Configuration
   I/O addressing and memory map
   Uploading and downloading programs
   Modifying, inserting and deleting programs
   On-line monitoring of programs
   Modifying and forcing software elements
   Application of timers, counters and basic PLC instruction (Basic Documentation)

Advanced PLC Training Course  (3 Days)

The Omron OC2 (Advanced PLC Training Course) is designed to provide an operational knowledge of more advanced software instructions and programming techniques. This course is ideally suited to those who require advanced knowledge of Omron PLC’s. Its is recommended that users have a good working knowledge of basic PLC concepts and CX Programmer.

Course Details:

   In Depth Understanding of all memory areas
   Understanding and implemention of advanced software instructions:
   Data shifting / Algebraic Manipulation
   Data Movement
   On-line editing
   Real Time data tracing
   Software design & documentation
   Use and set up of special I/O modules

Omron Basic HMI Training Course (1 Day)

The Omron OC3 (Basic HMI Training Course) is an application course using NS Human Machine Interface and CX Designer software package. This course is aimed at those who have a basic knowledge of the PLC, and want to understand of modify an NS range of display application. The course focuses on the integration of a PLC and HMI.

Course Details:

   Introduction to NS hardware range & CX Designer Software Package
   Bit Buttons, Word Buttons, Command Buttons and lamps
   Numerical Input/Display
   Transfer to and from NS
   Test Tool

Omron Advanced HMI (1 Day)

This is an application course with a mixture of theory and practical covering advanced aspects of NS operations. This course is aimed users who have a basic knowledge of the PLC and NS HMI and want to design interfaces utilising the Omron NS range of displays. Attendees will build on basic NS and PLC knowledge to become proficient and confident in creating both PLC and NS Software Solutions.

Omron One to One Training Course

The Omron OC11 (One to One Training Course) is a customised training course designed towards customers specific needs. Omron will develop and discuss the customers own applications during the course in order to assist them in understanding the functions used or even how to starting developing it. The content of this course is entirely decided upon by the customer and their specific needs / requirements.
