AIM Cements Business Review with Move to New Premises

May 11, 2012 - PRLog -- Aim Group, one of the North of England’s largest providers of motor and family legal cover, has moved to new premises at Stockport’s landmark Broadstone Mill.

The move is the culmination of a year-long strategic review of the business which has seen the creation of 4 specialist divisions - focusing on the insurance sector (Aim CoreProtect); claims management (Aim Incident Management); the legal sector (AIM LegalServices) and the automotive sector (AIM OnTheRoad).

The team is also getting excellent feedback on their latest in-house product – the innovative, online “Broker Platform” software.    More than 500 users have already signed up since its launch only four months ago.  The tool gives brokers the flexibility and freedom to follow their own chosen path - those who want to compete with the bigger firms can grow by diversifying their product offer whilst others can consolidate their position.  Either way it means less paperwork, a better product offer and a better deal for customers.

Ian Meachin, Sales Manager, Aim Group said:  “Moving to Broadstone Mill is the next step in the process started last year of turning round Aim from being the company it was into a company that is dictating its own future. Like Aim the building has a great history, solid foundations but has been transformed into a modern flexible business partner.

“We needed to move out of the stale typical office space that we had inherited and move into a more dynamic building with a breadth of companies from start-ups to established professionals.  The lease was due for renewal on our existing office so we decided to move out and allow the company to refresh its environment. We needed to energise the space we work in and that was just not practical in our old office due to restrictive small side offices, tired décor and prohibitive layout.                      
“We now have a fresh open plan office allowing the team to fully work together and share their day. Broadstone Mill has been redeveloped into a multi tasking resource centre with office, retail and development space contained in the generous old mill building situated just outside of Stockport town centre.

“A key decision swinger for the management team was that Broadstone offers us the ability to allow all our staff and any visitors a parking space next to the office previously this had been a problem. The mill site also incorporates retail shops and a gym which the staff are excited about.  The move is generating a real buzz which will I’m sure be reflected in the future with even more developments in news product and services.  These are exciting times at Aim with further development and strengthening of our market position.”
