May 11, 2012 - PRLog -- Inpaint was developed as an easy-to-use program for those who like taking pictures, but are not very good at photo editing in professional programs like Photoshop. Strictly speaking, Inpaint performs only one function - the automatic removal of unwanted objects from a picture (power lines, passersby, skin defects, unnoticed pieces of rubbish, time stamps, etc.). But this single function is performed almost faultlessly. Thanks to Inpaint, lots of amateur photographers do not have to mess about with the Clone tool any more, because this solution automatically fills the unwanted objects with surrounding textures.

However, sometimes automatic processing lacks precision, especially if there are a lot of details in the picture. To remedy this shortcoming the creators of Inpaint have added the new Multi View feature, which enables the user to perfectly remove passersby and other moving objects. This feature is especially useful for retouching holiday trip photos; near tourist attractions other people constantly get into the shot.

How does Multi View work?

The user needs to take several pictures of the same scene, making sure that everything relevant can be seen in at least one photo. Inpaint´s Multi View feature will align the pictures (no need for a tripod!) and "overlay" them. If there are more than two photos, it is possible to change the donor picture whenever needed. The rest is surprisingly easy, even for absolute novices: the user moves the cursor and Inpaint shows what donor area corresponds to that place. One click - and a part of the donor shot replaces the unwanted object.

Why Inpaint?

- Easy to get started;
- Straightforward and intuitive, requires no special skills;
- Very fast: distracting objects are removed in minutes;
- Supports four major image formats: .JPG/JPEG, .PNG, .BMP, and .GIF.
- Supports Undo/Redo;
- Offers a Multi View feature for instant replacement of unwanted objects with donor picture parts.

Pricing and Availability

Inpaint is compatible with Windows XP or higher and Mac OS X 10.6 or higher (only Intel CPU's). The license price starts from 19.99 USD for a Personal License. Further information on Inpaint, as well as its free trial version, is available at the product page.
