Many people fear public speaking but often public speaking and presenting are job requirements. Investing in improving your skill set is a great way to advance in your career, build leadership skills and improve your confidence overall. SFAR Toastmasters Club is part of a larger national organization called Toastmaster International. TI supports local clubs with structured and achievable goals that each club member works towards. When joining, your membership dues go towards manuals that outline specific skills for each assignment. Additionally, club meetings offer numerous opportunities to participate, large and small, so that each member can get their feet wet and build their comfort and confidence in small, achievable steps. Membership fees upon joining are $84.75 for the first 6 months including your training manuals, and $63 every 6 months thereafter. Join us for an Open House and luncheon on Monday, May 21, 2012 at 11:50am at 301 Grove St on the corner of Franklin in the SF Realtors building near the War Memorial Opera House.
