Families Are Asked to Open Their Hearts and Homes to Foreign Exchange Students Arriving in August

April 30, 2012 - PRLog -- Have you ever wondered how they celebrate Christmas in Italy or Colombia, or what kinds of foods they eat in Kyrgyzstan and Brazil?  You can find the answers to these questions and many others by opening your hearts and homes to a foreign exchange student.  Each year Organization for Cultural Exchange Among Nations promotes cultural awareness and academic excellence by placing international exchange students with American host families throughout the U.S.  Families often comment on how much they learned from the hosting experience and how wonderful it was to share the American culture with their exchange son/daughter.  Exchange students learn about America firsthand while residing with host families, participating in their daily activities and attending local high schools. Organization for Cultural Exchange Among Nations is inviting families in your community to open their hearts and homes to an international exchange student this year.  Students will be arriving in August and come from a variety of countries, to include: Brazil, China, Colombia, the Czech Republic, Ecuador, Germany, Italy, Kyrgyzstan, Slovakia, Spain and the Ukraine.

Students are fully insured, proficient in English and come with their own spending money to cover personal expenses. Host families are responsible for providing the student with room and board, as well as a loving family environment. The rewards a family receives by hosting an exchange student last a lifetime. In addition, the family makes friends from abroad while helping to bring the world closer together.

Organization for Cultural Exchange Among Nations is a non-profit organization located in Tempe, Arizona.
