By: HR Professionals of Greater Memphis Human resource executives and small business owners are invited to attend an informative seminar to learn about how to benchmark their benefits plan to form an effective health care strategy. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE The Human Resources Certification Institute has approved the Strategic Leadership for HR Executives Seminar for two Strategic Business Management Recertification Credits. The seminar is the second of four quarterly seminars to be held by HR Professionals of Greater Memphis in 2012. HR Professionals is in partnership with the Society for Human Resource Management-Memphis. Strategic Leadership for HR Executives will be held on May 3 at the Crescent Club located at 6075 Poplar Ave. in Memphis. It will be from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM with a wine and cheese reception following. Participants will be able to meet the presenters and get answers to their questions. The keynote speaker from Omaha, NE represents one of the world’s largest independent actuarial and consulting firms and will discuss the value of benchmarking your benefits plan and how this data can be used to form an effective health care strategy. Lipscomb & Pitts will also introduce their annual benefits survey. ERISA attorney Jennifer Kiesewetter will discuss the changing environment of fiduciary duty for 401(k)s and pension plans and how to avoid personal liability. Cynthia Thompson, principal and consultant with The Thompson HR Firm and Editor of HR Professionals of Greater Memphis, will discuss what your CEO expects of HR.
