Pre-register Now for Advance Notice of Contest Topic

You can get an early start on your creative entry. The annual PROMability™ contest officially kicks-off on October 1, 2012 with the release of the contest topic, but students can pre-register now to get advance notice of the topic at www.PROMability.com.
The winning submissions (one female and male) will be chosen by public votes along with the final selection of a panel of judges. Entries will be judged on creativity of idea, quality of thought, writing style, factual accuracy and mechanics.

Contest again hosted by TLC Mobility Foundation

TLC Mobility Foundation will again host the contest in conjunction with the PROMability campaign over a 7 month period.   Lisa Hamilton-Johnson, President of TLC Mobility, said “We are excited to bring back this contest, expanded to include females and males along with a range of other opportunities to reach graduating high school seniors with disabilities as they transition into adulthood for higher education or careers.

According to the Florida Department of Education, approximately 375,000 K-12 students with disabilities are served in Florida schools.  Many of them, especially those with physical impediments are often unable to enjoy their own prom festivities due to lack of funds to cover the cost of special needs transportation and other necessities.

PROMability concludes with the spotlight on the grand prize winners at a red carpet evening on April 22, 2013 with family, friends, business professionals, and local community members.

So, how will you get creative?  A poem, essay, video or a song?
