Follow on Google News | Neuro Film Festival Unveils its 2012 Contest WinnersThe American Academy of Neurology Foundation is pleased to announce the winning entries for its 2012 Neuro Film Festival, a contest to raise awareness about the need to support research into the prevention, treatment and cure of brain diseases.
GRAND PRIZE ($1,000 and a trip to New Orleans) Awarded by a panel of judges for the film exhibiting creativity in a technically polished presentation: RUNNER-UP PRIZE ($500) Awarded by a select panel of judges: Duchenne with a Future: The Power to Live by Patrick Moeschen FAN FAVORITE AWARD (Online Recognition) To view the winning entries and the other video submissions to the Neuro Film Festival contest, visit neurofilmfestival.com. The winning films were announced and screened April 22, 2012, at the Neuro Film Festival in New Orleans during Brain Health Awareness Week, which is in conjunction with the Academy’s 64th Annual Meeting, the world’s largest meeting of neurologists. Since 2010, nearly 300 films have been submitted to the Neuro Film Festival. The American Academy of Neurology Foundation supports vital research into finding cures for brain disease.
