BIMTECH ranks among the top ten B-Schools in India

In India, like any other country across the world B-School rankings are very important. Aspiring management students look at an MBA institute’s ranking before they send in applications. Because rankings are arrived at after taking various relevant factors like faculty, infrastructure, placements, curriculum, pedagogy, etc. into consideration.

BIMTECH was ranked 7th among all private B-Schools in India, in a survey conducted jointly by Wall Street Journal and C-Fore. This survey judged more than 250 participating institutes. The most important criterion for the judgement was research output of the faculty. In today’s business world, research is of paramount importance. All management education is focusing on research as a base to build their curriculum on.

In another ranking, conducted recently by CNBC-TV18, BIMTECH was ranked at 17 among India’s Best B-Schools. BIMTECH was featured on the TV channel as one of the shining B-Schools in India.

Accredited by the National Board of Accreditation, BIMTECH was awarded the highest honour - an accreditation for five whole years for its PGDM programme. Very few Indian B-Schools have been awarded with this accreditation.

BIMTECH’s recruitment record is another attractive aspect for students who are looking at serious careers in Management. In 2012, the institute had 32 new companies being added to its existing recruiters list. These included names like Tata Motors, TVS Motors, Bajaj Auto Finance, Canon, ITC, etc. “With this, we have widened our base significantly,” said Prof. Krishnan who is in charge of BIMTECH’s placement cell. “BIMTECH’s students are top notch performers in various corporates. This has gone viral and therefore, the 32 new companies. We are perceived to be a fundamentally very sound institute in academics,” he added.

Placement records at BIMTECH are excellent. They help students achieved desired placements.These placements are mostly done on-campus where the B-School invites several companies and organizations to participate. BIMTECH students are today occupying key managerial positions in various corporate and are earning compensation that are on par with industry standards, if not a notch better.
