April 18, 2012 - PRLog -- Peggy Beadle, a 17-year Chief Executive (CE) Group chair with Vistage Michigan (www.vistagemichigan.com), a membership-based organization that provides business leaders with new business perspectives and innovative strategies, has announced her retirement from the position.  The Grosse Pointe Farms resident will continue working with the organization as its co-owner.

In her role as chair, Beadle acted as her group’s advisor, mentor and business coach, conducting one-to-one coaching sessions with each of her chief executive group members.  She also facilitated nine group meetings and workshops per year with her members.

Involved with Vistage Michigan since its founding in 1976, she became a group chair in 1995 and CEO in 2002, a position from which she retired in 2009.  As CEO she focused on launching strategic and marketing plans, recruiting and selecting new chairs, and implementing performance management and professional development systems for chairs and staff.

“As a CEO, I understood what it was like to walk in the shoes of my members,” said Beadle.  “As a chair for nearly two decades, this enabled me to help the CEOs to be more effective at what they do and make better decisions.  It really was a wonderful experience and brought me much satisfaction to see my members companies grow.”

Beadle will continue working with Vistage Michigan to educate CEOs, focusing on the development, coaching and continuing education of new and seasoned chairs.  She also will develop a process for seasoned coaches to coach new chairs.

“While Peggy Beadle will no longer be serving as chair, staff and members are thrilled that we are continuing to work with her every day in her position as co-owner,” said Robert Holland, CEO and Chairman of Vistage Michigan.  “We also are looking forward to seeing one of Peggy’s longtime members, Joe Walker, take over her post.  I know he has learned from the best.”

Prior to her work with Vistage Michigan, Beadle managed her own consulting firm, Management Agenda, providing organization development services to firms throughout the U.S. Additionally, she served in organization development and training roles at City National Bank and Dayton Hudson Corporation and was an internal consultant for McKesson Corporation. In the 1970s, she co-founded the Women's Justice Center in Detroit.

Beadle attended Western Michigan University and University of Detroit. She also has completed extensive training at the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland and a yearlong internship program with University Associates in San Diego.
