-- Since its debut in 2008, Internet Week New York has quickly become one of the world's top festivals celebrating digital culture as well as a global showcase for New York City's thriving technology industry. Internet Week New York is expected to bring more than 30,000 people from around the world to nearly 300 events at the festival's headquarters and at dozens of locations throughout the city.
Internet Week New York is produced by the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences (IADAS), in cooperation with the Mayors Office of Media and Entertainment. Premier sponsors include Presenting Sponsor Yahoo!, Official Sponsors Ford, AOL, Meebo, Google and Microsoft, Official Registration and Wi-Fi Sponsor Southwest Airlines and Official Career Partner Vitamin T.
Just like in 2010 and 2011, Internet Week NY HQ will be home to stages, classrooms, lounges, installations, and more. With 20,000 more square feet of Digital Playground as well as Conference TheaterInternet Week HQ at 82 Mercer is poised to be the best yet.
Similar to 2010's HQ, the 2011 headquarters will be divided into an Exposition Space and a Theater Space. The Altman Building will act as a dedicated theater for the HQ, while Metropolitan Pavilion will be entirely Expo Space.
Open from May 14-17, attendees can expect to be a part of the ever-changing digital landscape in New Yorkhearing from industry luminaries and innovators across two stages and two classrooms on the second floor of 82 Mercer. On the first floor, Internet Week NY will host large-scale ticketed conferences.
