Cheer Channel Inc. Announces "Superstars of All-Stars" To Be Featured In New Web Series

April 12, 2012 - PRLog -- AUSTIN, Texas (April 12, 2012) CCI announced today the eight “Superstars of All-Stars 2012” that will make special appearances in the first ever Web series for the cheer industry, “Secret Diary of an American Cheerleader.”  

The girls will be cast as themselves, playing former all-star teammates to the main character of the show.

“Secret Diary of an American Cheerleader” tells the story of a high school all-star cheerleader who must move to a new town with her father and little brother and fights not only to be accepted by her new squad, but to keep a secret that could threaten her chances of competing in Nationals and a romance with the gym owner’s son.  

The Superstars of All-Stars 2012 were selected by a committee made up of coaches, event producers, media and former Cheerleaders.

“Fan support, as well as demonstrated individual and team competitive spirit, success and community service played a big part in the final decisions” said Cindy Villarreal, CEO of Cheer Channel.  “These girls set the highest standards for competitive cheerleading and are worthy ambassadors of the cheer industry,” Villarreal adds.

A special collectors edition poster, appearances on the Cheer Channel website and its platforms, and guest starring roles in CCI original programs will be only a few of the things that will be planned for each year’s honorees. “Superstars” will be announced every April near the end of the season.

Bianca Treger is the youngest of the Superstars at 11 years old. Currently, she cheers for the World Champion California All Stars from San Marcos, California. Although she has only cheered since she was 7 years old, she already has numerous State and National titles to her credit, including Best Stunt Sequence.  Additionally, she has been featured in “The Cheer Leader Magazine” and was finalist for “The Cheer Leader Magazine” 2011 Junior Cheerleader of the Year. Fourteen-year-old Gabi Butler cheers for the Top Gun Jaguars Large Coed team, in Miami, Florida as a flyer. The Top Gun All Stars are the number one All-Star team in the country and recognized internationally. Gabi’s videos have over 200,000 views on YouTube, as she is well known for her videos on stretching techniques.  

As a daughter of a former Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader, Cami Branson has been cheerleading competitively since age 5. She has been cheering on Level 5 since she was 7. Now 15 years old, she is currently on the Cheer Athletics Cheetahs in Dallas, Texas.  In addition to be being a model at 5 foot 7 inches, she still manages to be an award-winning flyer.  

Erica Englebert is a Level 5 flyer for Cheer Extreme Allstars (CEA) in Kernersville, North Carolina. As a Worlds 2010 Champion cheering since age 4, Erica has been written about on espn.com and many cheerleading websites.  With well-over 100,000 views on YouTube, Erica continues to be a rising star in the cheer community.

Kiara Nowlin is a recognized champion, athlete and role model to cheerleaders around the world. Seventeen-year-old Kelsey Rule is a three-time NCA Champion, three-time World Champion and an award-winning, all-around tumbler.  Kelsey is a flyer for the World Cup Shooting Stars in Freehold, New Jersey.  Admired for her cheerleading skills, Kelsey is also a strong role model to others for her volunteer involvement with local cheerleaders in the Pop Warner Youth Cheerleading organization.

The oldest of the Superstars at 18 years old, Whitney Love, is a freshman cheerleader at Oklahoma State University, and also cheers for the Twist and Shout Senior Obsession in Oklahoma.  Whitney is a Worlds Champion, NCA Champion, UCA Champion, Cheersport Champion, NDA Champion, USASF scholar and was the first female to land a standing double on a spring floor with shoes on. She regularly interacts and offers advice to her more than 9,000 friends on Facebook.  

“Secret Diary of an American Cheerleader” will begin airing content, updates, and announcements, beginning in mid-April which will be seen on the Cheer Channel website, as well as CCI and “Secret Diary of an American Cheerleader” Facebook fan pages and YouTube channels.  In addition, the series will be syndicated worldwide by some of the largest distributors of video content on the Internet including Vimeo, Blip.Tv, Koldcast.Tv, and more than 75 popular tween- and-teen-related social media platforms.
