By: Optellios As many of you know, Optellios has been involved in litigation with Future Fibre Technologies (FFT) over the past several years. I last updated you on this matter in August of 2010. I am pleased to report that all litigation has been settled to the satisfaction of both parties. Terms of the settlement are confidential, but I can share with you that it will have no material impact on Optellios’ finances beyond saving the company legal fees that would have been required had the litigation continued. As a result of the settlement, both parties will have access to the technology described in U.S. Patent No. 7,142,736, titled “Distributed fiber sensor with interference detection and polarization state management”. We believe this to be of little consequence to our company’s business, since Optellios has never relied on this patent for any commercial project and currently employs technologies that are completely different than the ones described in the patent. We look forward to better serving the Fiber Optic Sensing and Security markets now that this litigation has been concluded. Thank you for your business and continued support. Yours truly, Bill Frezza Chairman of the Board For additional information about Optellios, please email: info@optellios.com # # # Fiber Patrol® by Optellios is capable of accurately identifying & locating an intrusion to within a few feet for perimeters exceeding 10mi in length, with the industry’s first intrusion sensor system that keeps working even if the sensor cable is cut.
