New Antics to Develop Innovative Content, Social Marketing and E-Commerce Solutions
New Antics, a company that joins entertainment industry content creation veterans with social media experts, has officially opened its doors in Hollywood, Calif.
Bruce Long, New Antics co-founder and CEO states, "With the explosion of Internet ready TVs, and the huge potential of interactive content, we believe that the time is right to formally announce the launch of New Antics. The company brings together an array of uniquely talented individuals.

New Antics includes a studio division for content creation, and a technology division providing advertising and ecommerce solutions. The company's mission reflects a deep understanding that online video is not effectively monetized, and the landscape is fundamentally changing with lines blurring between television, and the social and interactive nature of the Internet. New Antics' goal is to create a more sustainable model for the video content and advertising industries by looking beyond the impression-based revenue model.
The company's Solutions division is designed to leverage its experts' comprehensive knowledge of online video content and social video marketing techniques. Its phase one deployment provides video marketing services based on proprietary technology for maximizing the return for content creators and advertisers. New Antics developed a set of video content solutions that enable monetization through e-commerce rather than existing means of distribution based on "impressions."
The Studios division at New Antics, headed by co-founder and head of production Deborah Del Prete, has already generated several pilots for online distribution focusing on interactive, social and entertainment content for the Web. It includes family, reality, gaming and female-oriented programming. With its own creative staff and production equipment, New Antics will also serve as a third-party production facility for online distributors.
Long has headed several successful companies that live at the convergence of digital solutions and content. He has held leadership roles at many of Hollywood's most prominent post-production and visual effects companies including Technicolor, Deluxe (which acquired his company, Next Element), Encore Video & Encore VFX, and Iconix Video. Long was also one of the founders of the Arizona-based Bancom Financial Corporation. Long has held senior positions with Columbia/CBS Records, and has managed several recording artists. He was the executive producer of National Lampoon's Bag Boy. Along with New Antics Chief Technology Officer Daryll Strauss, Long has authored several patents that are employed at the company.
