April 2, 2012 - PRLog -- On behalf of Legal IQ, Jim Vint, Managing Director at Navigant, interviews Patrick Oot, Co-Founder and GC, Electronic Discovery Institute, Special Counsel, Electronic Discovery at US Securities and Exchange Commission about the latest developments in Information Governance.

Legal IQ: Hello, welcome to this Legal IQ podcast. My name is Jim Vint and I’m a managing director within the Technology Solutions group at Navigant Consulting. This is being performed in conjunction with the 7th Annual Information Governance and eDisclosure Summit, from May 14 to 16, 2012 at the Millennium Gloucester Hotel and Conference Centre in London, UK. I’m delighted to be joined by one of the speakers for the forthcoming event, Patrick Oot. Patrick is the co-founder and GC of the Electronic Discovery Institute and additionally holds a position of Special Counsel for E Discovery at the US SEC. Patrick, thank you for joining us today.

P Oot: Thanks, Jim.

Legal IQ: I’d like to start our questions here by asking, to what extent do you see either requesting parties or responding parties preparing for the response for information related to the change in Big Data systems. Or more specifically, how would you expect people to handle the hundreds of terabytes of data that might be stored in these new systems in response to a request for information.
