5x Grammy Award-winning poet Malik Yusef on the list of possible performers for the Krusader Awards

March 29, 2012 - PRLog -- The list of performers are lining up for the Krusader Community Awards & fund raiser, as this promises to be a phenomenal night of celebration as Chicago recognizes the contributions of community organizations, clergy, educators, politicians, businesses, entertainers, and individuals.

At the time of this release, sources close to the organizing committee have confirmed that contact has been made with representatives of R&B artists Jeremiah, Jay Hollins, Tierra Neve'h, John Blu, Ben One, and J-Lynn; as well as Grammy award-winning poet, Malik Yusef.  More artists & genres are also being considered.
Selection confirmation will take place April 20th, 2012

According to the selection committee, their decisions are based on:
Time constraints
Sponsor participation
Musical genre; and
Artist Availability.

The Krusader Community Awards is scheduled for Thursday,  June 7th, at the Marmon Grand Banquet Hall: 2230 S. Michigan Ave. Chicago, IL.
