TPS plug in for Microsoft Dynamics CRM

March 21, 2012 - PRLog -- Data8, the data enrichment specialists, have today announced the launch of new plug in for Microsoft Dynamics which will automatically screen all telephone numbers to ensure that no marketing calls are made to telephone numbers on TPS (Telephone Preference Service).

Antony Allen, managing director data8, said “If you're performing telemarketing, you need to check each number you call against the TPS register before you call or you could end up with a fine of up to £5,000.”

Allen continued, “The best way to make sure you're on the right side of the law is to automate the process of TPS checking so you can't accidentally call a TPS registered number. The data8 plug in for Microsoft Dynamics CRM ensures that telephone numbers are TPS checked as soon as they are added to a database. The contact methods within CRM are set accordingly, if the number is TPS then it is marked as such and a date given when the TPS screening took place”.

Data8 say that the plug in is simple to install and once in place it is available as a custom workflow activity. Mark Carrington, Chief Technologist data8 added, “We have designed the plug in so it can be shaped around existing processes, there is no need for a company to change their way of working. The checker can be used to identify individual numbers or a whole data file can be uploaded and checked directly from CRM. With data8’s wide range of data sources we can also identify those companies on the CTPS register.”
