RealOptions Taking On A New Identity In East San Jose

March 12, 2012 - PRLog -- San Jose, California- March 12, 2012- RealOptions, a pregnancy medical clinic in Santa Clara County, is taking on a new identity in East San Jose. No longer simply a pregnancy resource center, it is now a full-fledged medical clinic thanks to Focus on the Family- an international nonprofit Christian ministry. Option Ultrasound Program (OUP) grants cover 80 percent of the cost for ultrasound machines or sonogram training, helping the medical clinics to confirm a viable pregnancy for their clients. The ultrasound machines do much more than provide a needed medical service, however – they often introduce a woman to her preborn baby for the first time, giving her the chance to see a real-time image of the child inside her womb.

“We regularly hear from women who, years later, still regret and grieve their abortions. The desire to better serve these women, and the babies they carry, motivated Focus on the Family to start Option Ultrasound,” says Kelly Rosati, Vice President of Community Outreach. “Our purpose is to empower women with the information they need to make informed decisions. We’re here to come alongside of them in their moment of need, offer them love – and help them find hope.”

One of RealOptions clients said, “I was confused and hurt and ashamed – and I wanted to terminate the pregnancy altogether. Then I had my first ultrasound, and as soon as I heard the heartbeat . . . there was no turning back! RealOptions East San Jose Medical Clinic qualified for a 3D Samsung ultrasound machine and will be offering state of the art technology and a free ultrasound for every positive pregnancy test for all of their clients.  The East San Jose office recently moved down the street and will also be offering first and second trimester pre-natal care for women who are uninsured starting in April .  According to Rebecca David, Site Director, RealOptions East San Jose Pregnancy Medical Clinic, “This community will benefit from our medical services including ultrasound access because it is a very important priority in women’s health, especially for unplanned pregnancies.”
