March 6, 2012 - PRLog -- Denver, CO – The Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD) Foundation will present its 14th International Symposium and Parent Workshop at the University of Massachusetts Campus Center in Boston on March 16-18, 2012.

The SPD Foundation is proud to bring its 14th International Symposium and Parent Workshop to Boston. The Parent Workshop will feature a full day of fun and interactive learning for parents and educators of children with Sensory Processing Disorder. Explore therapy techniques and sensory strategies for home, school, and community with leaders in the field of SPD research and treatment. Doreit Bialer, co-author of No Longer A SECRET with SPDF founder Dr. Lucy Jane Miller, will provide an in-depth look at tips for parents included in her new book, and Diana Henry will provide hands-on training in fun and entertaining approaches to successfully engaging with your child.

“I can´t tell you what a wonderful experience the Symposium was for me. In addition to learning and meeting all the great authors and speakers, being able to connect with other parents was priceless. I am inspired to do something in my community. I don’t want other moms to feel the frustration I have felt. I want people to understand that our children just perceive life differently. And I want them to learn about it and understand that there is hope!” Anamae Romagosa, parent.

Symposium agenda and registration are available at http://spdfoundation.net/boston2012. Registration includes a wine and cheese reception featuring comedy legend and SPD Foundation supporter, Sarge. Attendee guests and members of the public can purchase tickets for the comedy event for only $25 at the symposium registration site.
