D. Woods launches a successful foundation AND new video, Foolish Dreamer!

Atlanta, GA March 6, 2012- On March 2nd songstress D. Woods joined forces with No Losing Inc. for the first annual Foolish Dreamer School Tour. With its start at Tri-Cities High School, this event was designed to jolt the student population’s pulse and welcome them onto a path toward career success. Sponsored by the Microsoft Corporation and Sesac Inc., the Foolish Dreamer campaign started 2012 off with honoring local Atlanta graduates who shot to stardom after completing High School. Award recipients Friday’s ceremony were: Tameka “Tiny” Harris, producer Bangladesh, rap artist Gorilla Zoe and Tri-Cities High principal and graduate, Dan Sims, Ph.D. With V-103’s Lil’ Bankhead hosting, and surprise guest T.I. this event had a positive impact on the college-bound students at Tri-Cities.  

About the Foolish Dreamer program: Originally the title of a song and music video (http://missdwoods.com/?p=178) for singer D. Woods, this non-profit organization was founded by the singer and business partner Kimiko. This program inspires teens and young adults to transform their dreams into reality, by exposing them to the “inner workings” of the entertainment and performing arts industries. They assist participants to identify and nurture their interest through hands on experiences. Their belief is that having access to and interactions with different leaders in dance, theater, and the music industry will help to build confidence in their natural abilities and equip them with the right tools to achieve their dreams!

Applications for entry into the Foolish Dreamer Organization have been pouring in since Friday’s event.
