ESio Input/Output Controllers Released

ESimaging announce the launch of their ESio range of Controllers enabling automated high speed control of peripheral hardware; primarily for use with microscopes.

March 6, 2012 - PRLog -- ESImaging are pleased to announce the launch of their ESio range of Input/Output Controllers. The ESio prototypes were successfully demonstrated at the December 2011 ASCB Conference in Denver, USA - see http://valelab.ucsf.edu/~MM/MMwiki/index.php/Micro-Manager_at_the_ASCB_Meeting_2011 - the video shows the ESio Controllers being used in conjunction with microscope hardware to achieve precise synchronisation between the camera and illumination. This is controlled in hardware with no communication delay during acquisition.

The ESio Controller range consists of:

- ESio AOTF Controller
- ESio TTL Controller
- ESio DAC Controller

The ESio Controllers bridge the gap between software control and hardware triggering to provide the fastest control of peripheral hardware possible.  The ESio range is aimed at live cell biologists and anyone in need of control of external hardware during high speed image acquisition.

A driver for the ESio range is included in the latest release of Micro-Manager. No programming is necessary for users to operate the ESio devices but is an option for advanced users.
