"Ever since I was a teenager, I loved wearing my dad’s and, later, my boyfriend’s worn in, button-down shirts," Claridge recalls.

"The problem was, while the sleeve length might work, the tails where too short. Or perhaps it was roomy enough, but the cuffs extended past your fingertips."

Claridge worked on prototype after prototype to get the proportions right on the slightly oversized button-down shirt designed to sleep in, lounge in, hit the beach or pool in, or throw on casually with a pair of skinny cargos or leggings.

Constructed with finely woven gentleman’s shirting Claridge + King’s 100 percent cotton boyfriend shirt, sized extra small to extra large, hits the most flattering part of nearly every woman’s leg - mid-thigh - then circles up at the gusset on either side to sensually reveal a bit, while disguising just enough (read: that sensitive upper-thigh area and behind).
