Webanywhere Development Allows Single Sign On Between Moodle 2.0 and Google Apps
Yorkshire based web design and e-learning company, Webanywhere Ltd, has announced the release of a new system to integrate Moodle 2 and Google Apps for Education more tightly, allowing users to access both systems with a single username and password.
Team leader Ben Wagner predicts the new development will make a real difference to schools using the two packages, stating “The integration allows schools to deploy Google Apps for Education painlessly, and alongside our Moodle to MIS integration, allows staff and students to use a single set of credentials to access all three systems”
March 1st marks the release of the stable version of the software, which was demoed as a beta version at the BETT Show in January. Webanywhere is now turning its attention to linking Google Apps organisational units with Moodle groups, and pulling live Gmail message previews into Moodle.
