Help For People With Low Vision

The Essential Low Vision Class is designed for people with vision impairement or low vision and for those who help care for them.

Feb. 27, 2012 - PRLog -- If you or someone you live with is experiencing low vision, you know how frustrating daily tasks have become.  The Essential Low Vision Program provides simple, low-tech solutions to many common challenges.

A team of vision rehabilitation instructors will suggest over 40 helpful strategies that can make living with low vision easier, safer and more satisfying.  The program is personalized to the needs of the individual participants and their family members.

Many who attend the Essential Low Vision Program need the support of people who are experiencing the same emotional turmoil as themselves.  Coming to this program is the first step in adjusting to vision loss and building the confidence and skills to remain independent for as long as possible.  

The program includes a tour of the Diamond Spring Vision Store which is stocked with talking products, magnifying glasses and other adaptive aids and products.

The Essential Low Vision Program will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at NJ Foundation for the Blind, 230 Diamond Spring Rd., Denville, NJ.  Pre-registration is required and a small fee is charged. The program starts with coffee and breakfast snacks at 9:00 AM.  Call Linda for information at 973-627-0055, Ext. 312.
