The Legacy at Willow Bend will host a complimentary symposium on “Compassion Fatigue Syndrome” on Friday, February 24, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
 
Feb. 7, 2012 - PRLog -- The Legacy at Willow Bend will host a complimentary symposium on “Compassion Fatigue Syndrome” on Friday, February 24, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The event is designed for professional and caregiving communities and will provide nursing, LPC, Social Work CEUs and Physician CMEs.

“We are delighted to host this important event and to continue spreading the word about the effects of compassion fatigue syndrome,” said Louise Dunkerley, marketing and sales director, The Legacy Senior Communities.  “We are fortunate to partner with other healthcare professionals that hold the same commitment to furthering education as The Legacy Senior Communities does.”  

Highlights include sessions by David W. Crumpacker, M.D., who will discuss “Alzheimer’s Disease: What You Need To Know,” followed by Harriet Cohen, PhD, LCSW, who will lecture on “Addressing Ethical Issues in Compassion Fatigue.” Breakout session topics include: “Compassion Fatigue” by Susan Stacy, MS, LPC; “Managing Compassion Fatigue Through the Wellness Model” by Martha C. Fiddes, PT, GCS, CQM; and “Compassion as a Calling” by Jane Nunnelee, PhD, RN-BC, GNP. Lunch will be provided at 12:00 p.m. while guests listen to Motivational Guest Speaker Anne Sadovsky. The event will conclude with HEALING SOLUTIONS by Move Studio Dallas.
