Chow Down Grill & Lounge (CDG&L), previously known as the Chow Down Grill, provides an Asian-inspired dining experience that will satisfy both your taste buds and your wallet. The restaurant, with its first location still in Surfside, has recently opened up its second location on 9th and Alton and has already been receiving great praise from local foodies.

The restaurant is being lead by the duo, John Donovan (the mastermind behind The Bar and Purdy Lounge) and Chef Joshua Marcus (renowned for his craft at BLT Steak, Timo, and China Grill). Donovan and Chef Marcus are both very familiar with and enjoy catering to the local Miami market by running effective, flavorful, and budget-friendly bars and restaurants.

Offering an appetizing menu, full-bar, and open kitchen until 5AM every night, CDG&L is the place to indulge in healthy, nutritious, and homemade Asian cuisine. And with delicious dishes from Vietnamese classics like Banh Mi to homemade tofu and hand-rolled dumplings, CDG&L delivers just about everything – minus the MSG, cornstarch, and added sugar.

Once happy hour hits CDG&L starts rolling out the deals. Offering $1 dumplings and $2 egg rolls from 4-7PM, as well as drink specials that include $2 off draft beers and half-price premium cocktails, everyone can enjoy reasonably priced drinks and delicious food in a relaxing atmosphere.

It comes as no surprise that CDG&L is following in the successful footsteps of The Bar and Purdy Lounge, and is quickly becoming the “chillest” evening spot for locals. Be sure to check out Sweet ’n Low Tuesdays, Munch Wednesdays (ladies indulge in free drinks from 10PM-1AM), Take-Out Thursdays (guests can eat-to-the-beat or take their dishes home), Chow Down Fridays (offering poo-poo platters that change weekly, and dish up new dumplings, egg rolls, and more) - there is something for absolutely everyone, even vegetarians and health conscious individuals can find the perfect dish. Mixing a chic atmosphere with great DJ’s and delicious cuisine, Chow Down Grill & Lounge is the neighborhood spot on the beach.

Beginning January 30, 2012 – “Fuse” at CDG – Fuse Entertainment will be at Chow Down’s South Beach location from 9PM to 2AM every Monday. Featuring old-style nightclub themes (i.e. Copacabana and Cotton Club) and interactive events such as roaming models wearing the latest brands and spoken word poetry readings, guests can enjoy bottle service upon request.

Additionally, Dollah Dollah Dim Sum is the Happy Hour, which runs every week day from 4-7PM. Available only at the bar, you can eat $2 beef and chicken satay, egg rolls, chicken wings and scallion pancakes. There is also $2 off draft beer.
