The interior of the case is made of soft micro fiber material that will not scratch the surface of the iPad. And as I stated the case can be folded horizontally or vertically to hold iPad at an angle for viewing video or typing on the onscreen keyboard. And when in the horizontal position the iPad can be angled so 15 degrees making typing on the on-screen keyboard rather simple. And again the folded up case is held to the iPad via magnets.
It does a great job at what Apple says it will do. It covers the top nicely. It props up the ipad in 2 positions – one best for keyboard usage/swiping and one for viewing video, beautifully. It turns it on and off. This does not protect the back of the device. Personally, I have no problem with that. I don’t get the whole “It cannot look like it’s ever been used” mindset that so many people have regarding their electronics. If it matters to you though, this is not what you want. Go back to looking at sleeves and portfolios and such.
