By: Alfonso Borello It is set in Atlanta, Georgia in the uptown area of Lenox and Phipps. “She was pretty, but it's wasn't love at first sight,” says Alfonso Borello, the author/narrator and main character. “I just tried to do the best I could, but I had to put my soul into it.” “I wasn't new to this; I lived with an autistic brother who left me at young age,” Borello continues, “I wanted to try again, and do a better job this time, but I ended up in a minefield.” A Miniature Life reads like a journal, and doesn't make any attempt at being a novel. The dialogues are real and simple, and there isn't much 'interior decorating', according to the author. It's a beautiful story, profound and at times humorous.
