New app for Auditors and Inspectors released on the Apple App store today

Dec. 8, 2011 - PRLog -- The new iOS app “UMT Audit 6s” ,now available on the App store is derived from Laubrass’ UMT Audit software solution that was previously only available on Windows, Palm OS or Windows Mobile devices.

UMT Audit has previously been sold as a customizable software solution to perform any audit or inspection. “For the iTunes store, we chose to use a standard audit that can be used in any industry to improve productivity,” said Brassard.

The 6S audit is a tool based on the 5S checklist of five principles (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) and includes Safety as the final "S". With Japanese origins, similar to Kaizen and other lean initiatives, 6S is used to keep any given area safe, organized, clean and structured in a way that makes it easiest to perform a task in a specific space.

There is a separate compatible module for UMT Audit that users will be able to purchase to enable the features needed to customize other types of audits and additional tools to manage reports and corrective actions online or on their desktop. This module is not necessary to effectively perform a 6S audit and is sold separately by Laubrass at http://www.laubrass.com
