Follow on Google News | Aderma® continues to educate in pressure ulcer prevention with the release of the Clinician SupportThe Clinician Support Guide is the most advanced literature to date and includes information regarding how Aderma® actually works, when best to use it, how and where to use it, the clinical and cost benefits, ordering information and extra support.
By: Rebecca Silvers In August of 2011 the Aderma® range of products, 9 anatomical shapes in total designed to help prevent the formation of pressure ulcers, were successfully added to the drug tariff meaning the range could be prescribed within community care settings. As a direct result of this the Clinician Support Guide was designed to accompany various other product support making up the District Nurse Information Pack, designed to be given out at study and training days. The Clinician Support Guide in particular is the most advanced literature to date and includes information regarding how Aderma® actually works, when best to use it, how and where to use it, the clinical and cost benefits, ordering information and extra support. The aim of the guide and information pack in general is to help educate district nurses, who are proportionately new users of the product, in its uses and application and help communicate the clinical and cost benefits of using Aderma®. CEO Dr Craig Barson comments on the importance of educating within pressure area care: “We have made it our duty to help educate within pressure ulcer prevention and offer as much requested product support as possible. Over the past year it has been made increasingly clear that there is a strong need for engaging education within the pressure area care market, specifically prevention. We design all our education around the people who will use it making it as relevant as possible for every cause.” The Aderma® education material consists of the Education Guide (presentation & leaflet format), Multiple Use Poster, Skin Guide, Aderma® Heel Guide, Interactive e-brochure, Diary Card, Aderma® Presentation and GP, Pharmacy & District Nurse Flyer. All material is readily available online for free download @ www.aderma.info. End
