Googlers Give Playful StickFiggy Art a Warm Reception

Jane Marshall brings imaginary character to life as featured artist at Google.

Dec. 6, 2011 - PRLog -- Seattle, WA – Jane Marshall, is the latest artist to be featured at Google’s  Headquarters in Mountain View, CA. Adding to a list of accolades and critical successes in various areas of design and writing, this latest honor highlights the artist’s StickFiggy character and his many comical activities.

“Having an art reception at Google headquarters (12/1) is a great honor and I’m proud to be associated with one of our country's superstar organizations,” says Jane Marshall. “The whimsy and playfulness of StickFiggy’s character pairs well with Google's appreciation for creativity and design and complements the culture at Google. Their facilities are gorgeous and full of gallery-like spaces. But best of all, they're teeming with the kind of people that are willing to take a sec to check StickFiggy out."

The 10 part series depicts StickFiggy in different comical activities designed to inspire and motivate employees around their personal wellbeing. The artwork, specially designed to compliment Google's "Optimize your Life" initiative, includes: ‘Running with Motivation’ (pictures depicting figures running away from a beehive), ‘Box jump’ (figures jumping over boxes), ‘Big Lift’ (Stickfiggy lifting weights), and ‘reBooted’ (picture depicting StickFiggy on the computer).

StickFiggy is the name for the plucky stick-figure character. With his signature boots, the adventures of StickyFiggy is also becoming popular with young children. StickFiggy stories are available on the MeMetales iPhone App and through a small line of greeting cards.
