| City Seasons Dubai adds new cluster DOSM to teamUAE November 2011 – The City Seasons Group of hotels has appointed Syed Mehdi to head up the sales and marketing for its Dubai properties.
By: CTT Consulting In his new role Mehdi will be responsible for all areas of sales and marketing for both Dubai properties. His responsibilities include forecasting and annual budgeting for the hotels as well the maximisation of daily revenue and attendance at key trade exhibitions. Mehdi has spent the last four years with Samaya Hotels & Resorts overseeing the group’s Dubai and Sharjah hotels where he was promoted from sales manager to director of sales and marketing. Prior to that he was the sales and marketing manager at the Millennium Airport Hotel Dubai where he was responsible for all sales and marketing communications including the creation of all above the line and below the line advertising materials, media planning and press releases. Mehdi’s key areas of expertise lie in the opening up of new markets through attendance at global trade exhibitions such as ITB Berlin, World WTM in London and Arabian Travel Market (ATM) in Dubai. He also has considerable experience leading and mentoring sales and marketing teams fostering an environment of effective internal and external communications.
